    Frequently Asked Questions

    What makes you different?

Mainly our experience with current technology and feature films. We record live multi-track audio for film and pass those skills onto your wedding. Unlike other videographers, we use the actual music and sound recorded from your wedding – all recorded individually on a laptop. We also post your video online for approval and to get feedback. We want to make sure there are no surprises.
How do you identify your style?

Our videos speak romance and elegance. As your wedding is unique, we try to make each video deliver the style and decor of your special day.
Are you a commercial studio or home-based business?

A mix of both, but mostly home-based. We rent large studios to shoot films, and since editing for weddings is a very long process, we utilize a home office for our Post-Production to give your project personal attention. This is fairly common with videographers because we rarely shoot in a studio like photographers. This also keeps costs down and those savings are passed to our customers.
Which types of videography do you offer?

Everything depending on the wedding’s budget. From unedited footage to fully professional productions with several cameras, videographers and steadicams.
Describe any special editing services you offer:

If we can edit motion pictures professionally, your wedding will certainly reflect our experience. We can add special effects along with BluRay production and online viewing before we ship your DVD.
Do you have lighting equipment to accommodate a more dimly-lit event?

Yes, but usually do not like to use them because of intrusiveness. We only use them in dark situations. Our cameras do pretty well with low light, and usually we will use a dimmer on the lights we use.
Does the bride get to meet the videographers before the wedding?

Of Course! We want to meet you too!
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

We wouldn’t be much of a production company if not. We always have backups ready to go.
Do you book yourself for more than one wedding in a day? Weekend?

Never the same day. Things get too hectic. Occasionally same Weekends.
Do you have a replacement videographer in case you become unavailable on the wedding day?

Always. We get sick sometimes too.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

Everything and anything we can think of in addition to our standard list. You never know when that extra piece of equipment will come in handy.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

Definitely, even newer equipment can fail or give problems.
Do you require a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party provide your meal?

Yes. Usually it is not a problem, but we can bring our own food if need be.
How many breaks do you usually take throughout the day?

We usually don’t get many. Depends on the wedding and availability of down time. If the schedule is too tight, we will bring additional employees to fill in.
    Do you charge overtime?

Yes. Each additional hour is an extra $75.00 beyond what the package allows.
Do you give access to your raw footage?

Yes, for an additional fee on DVD, BluRay, or Hard Drive
Do you reserve the right to use a video in the future for promotions, contests, etc.?

Yes unless agreed otherwise and in writing signed by Inspirit Media.
Is the bride involved in the editing process? If so, how much input does the bride have in editing?

Absolutely. We post each video online for review before creating your DVD’s.
How long does it take for the bride to get the video?

We try for 60 days or less. Depending on the video it can take up to 90+ days.
Do you come to the rehearsals?

Usually as long as it is somewhat local.
What kind of music do you use?
We use laptops to professionally record the actual music being played during your dances and events. Relying on camera microphones and tapes is not enough for us. Perfection can only be achieved by recording the music through a direct wire, not a microphone.
Why is editing included in the video costs? Why not just record onto a DVD?
Editing adds appeal and interest to your wedding video that raw footage cannot capture. We can of course shoot the wedding and not edit, then let you decide later; although with multiple cameras, editing is always essential. Similar to the boring home video cliché, no one wants to fast forward through a video and just watch the good parts. We take each camera’s best shots and make an enjoyable and emotional documentary of your event.
